Stories from the Summer

When staying in Lloydminster for a few months at the start of the summer Marshall and I were watching a movie in the living room of the farm house we were staying in. All of a sudden, Marshall says that he saw a mouse! So we decide that we are going to catch the poor little thing. So we block off all the exits including vents, and corner in behind a large speaker. Now we had to catch it... I do wish that someone had caught it on video because I am sure we were rather humorous. We realize that we needed to have something to catch it in, we weren't going to just catch it with our bare hands. So we got a large cereal box and cardboard to slid under it. After numerous attempts at trying to get it out from behind the speaker, and trying to guess where it was going to go next, it finally ran out and we both screamed as we threw the box over it and had finally caught it. Ah ha! We got it! Now I know that you are probably thinking that we now would have gone and killed it, wrong, we ended up driving out down the gravel road a ways and let the little thing back out into the world, probably for some other ravage animal to eat later on, but non the less we saved this little guys life, not that he needed to be saved.
