leaves on the ground, fall in the air... its September!

September 2nd and I feel like I am already taking advantage of the wonderful things this month and fall bring! Yesterday I had canned chokecherry syrup from which I had picked a couple of weeks back and already made into juice. Today I picked strawberries, and froze them leaving some for the next weeks enjoyment, went for a lovely little walk with Malcolm in his little red wagon, to which used to be mine when I was his age, and I am thoroughly enjoying the leaves starting to fall onto the ground and cooler evenings! I love fall.

This year I look back on the summer we had and feel sad as it went by all to fast and I feel like we didn't get to enjoy it like we should have. I am not letting this happen to my favorite time of year. I want to savor this time! And so I have my fall/early winter bucket list..
  • go to pumpkin patch to pick pumpkins
  • can apple juice, and sauce
  • make chokecherry syrup
  • pick strawberries
  • cut down Christmas tree
  • make quilt
  • make a fall-winter wreath
  • sit in coffee shop work on TESOL, read bible, and sip on tea lattes for a couple of hours
  • go on a hayride
  • donate a shoe box of toys for operation Christmas child
  • make apple cider
  • make a freeze soups for lunches
  • decorate for fall and Christmas
  • have people over for dinner
  • work on project life
  • go for crisp evening walks
  • sit in veranda for tea or coffee
  • read a book
I think my list could go on and on.  I just hope that each day I can enjoy it, and experience it with my family! So heres to you fall! I hope we enjoy each others company this year!
