Only a week left of leading our outreach in Guatemala! Wow time has flown by so quickly. It is hard to believe that we it was already 7 weeks ago that we left Belize!
Our time here in San Miguel Chicaj has been amazing. I am sad to be leaving great new friendships, and this beautiful little mountain town.

Atol- dried corn, then boiled, then boiled again, with ashes added, mushed up, boiled again, then you drink it..
(personally not my favorite thing here)

I don't even know what to write, I just felt like I needed to as it has been almost a month now. It is exciting to see what the next chapter of our life will bring for us in a weeks time when we say good bye to our two students and outreach is officially over. I am getting really excited to come home for a bit, and for whatever else this year holds for us.

Last week we went to a town over the mountain to San Francisco where we attended a church service. As Marshall was speaking I went to take a photo of him and rested my camera on the pew ahead of me, where an elderly women was sitting. All of a sudden she grabbed my hand and just held it for quite some time. It was so cute. It has been a real blessing to see the elderly here and learn from them. How they are determined to walk the 3 kms up and down the mountain to come to church when they are 77 years old, or to see them carrying a large bucket with corn tortillas on their head. They are hardworking and love their people, and Jesus. Amazing people to look up to and gain knowledge from.

We have done so much and there are so many stories to tell, however I am at a lost for words, perhaps it is because it is only 7 am and I have already been up for almost 2 hours. Until next time, Cheers.
