REALLY!?!

So if you have seen Saturday Night Live in the last few years and have seen the weekend update portion with Seth and Amy you will sometimes see a sketch they like to call "Really?! with Seth and Amy"

I have had a lot of these Really?! moments latley with my job and  to add to the Really?! I have also had a few Oh My Goodness! and For The Love! moments. So I thought that I should bring them to our attention to brighten your day, so when you feel like you deal with stupidity at work you can turn to this and then realize that there is a lot worse! 

1. "Mallory 1% milk is actually thicker then 3% as it creates foam faster, and the molecular structure of when you steam it makes it thicker" -worker that shall be nameless

   REALLY?! oh so that would then make 36% milk or whipped cream lighter then 3% because it takes longer to foam? Or maybe 1% foams faster because it is lighter, and when things are thicker and heavier in weight they take longer to break down...

2. "Nameless Employee, what do you have in the oven? A purple cake?" -mallory

     "no they are scones, blueberry orange scones, I used frozen blueberries" -employee

                  Tip: when making scones with frozen fruit, add more flour as they will become runny and very moist when the frozen fruit starts to thaw, also maybe when you mix all the ingredients mixing it so that all of the things including the butter are combined might be good as you will then avoid the pool of butter on top of your now scone cake. FOR THE LOVE!

3. Lets think about some math here for a sec, you just received $24 in tips, made up of a twenty dollar bill, and two toonies. What makes sense here now is to take your two toonies, which let me reminds you makes up $24 and trade them in for one five dollar bill from the till. So now you have $25 in tips, but $1 extra from the till. What do you do.

 answer: Pocket the extra $1 because a bill is easier to carry then two toonies!

OH MY GOODNESS! REALLY!?

4. FOR THE LOVE! when the schedule says you work at 8:30, that means you are supposed to be at work at 8:30 to open the cafe, not at 9:05 when the cafe is all ready supposed to be open!
