3 bathrooms and 18 girls all in a cozy house!

Sometimes in life you need to take the back seat, and let everyone else around you figure out where or what they are doing.

So I am now offically living in Los Angeles where I am starting the next chapter of my life. For those of you who don't know, I am currently doing a Disipleship Training School (DTS) with Youth With A Mission (YWAM).
A staff member, Amy, was at the airport waiting to pick me up, along with another DTS student Julianne who is from Edmonton. Amy is so warm and kind, she had this huge smile on her face when I went up to her and with her southern american accent welcomed me! We left the airport only to get lost.... in the parkade, we couldn't find her car, however after about a half hour we found it, all in good fun. We headed off to get some food at Baja Fresh, a freshly made taco place, then headed out for the 45 minute drive to the base.

Amy gave us a tour of the base. The best way to describe it is like a really small village. There is the "main square" where all the offices, lecture/training rooms, computer labs, and dining room is. Then in what would be a cresent with a little park in the middle, lie about 16 trailer/mobile homes. Some of which people, staff, live in year around, others like mine that have 8 rooms with bunk bed and 3 bathrooms with 4 showers that 18 girls share! They are kind of drabby, I really just want to grab a can of paint and make it real.

So in my DTS there are 18 girls and 8 guys, and the ages are from 17-27. Everyone is really differnt, some are really into fashion, looking great all the time, and others are just really laid back, enjoying the moment. My roomate is from Holland, her name is Marjam, and she is 27 years old. We get along really well!

I think this will be an amazing, challenging experience and I can't wait for it!
Cheers, Mallory
